Andhra Pradesh is an ancient region and it finds mention in the Sanskrit texts and epics like Mahabharata. This region has been ruled by several dynasties such as Maurya, Pallava, Rashtrakuta, Chalukya, Cholas, and finally the British rule.
Language and Culture:
People predominantly speak the Telugu language and this language is said to have originated from the time of the Chola dynasty in the State. The famous Carnatic music is said to have begun from this region and the rich Kuchipudi dance form is also well-known.

The local cuisine is spicy and famous for dishes like the Hyderabadi biriyani, Pulihora, Chepa Pulusu, and many others. Pootharekulu is a famous sweet dish of this region. You can take back home souvenirs such as the Hyderabadi pearls, lac bangles from Laad Bazaar, and Bidri work which is a famous local craft.
Transportation:
Being an important IT hub, the State is well-connected by all forms of transport on land, rail, and air. There is an international airport in Hyderabad and other airports stand in Vishakhapatnam, Tirupati, Vijaywada, etc.
There are lots of trains from all regions of India and rail connectivity means that you can easily reach here by train. With more than 4000km of National Highway passing through the State, the road conditions are excellent and you can also take a bus or rent a car from a neighboring place.
Best Time to Visit:
During the summer months in Andhra Pradesh, the temperatures soar as high as 45°C and thus, it is advised to visit during the winter months of November to February.
