    Day wise Itinerary

    Day 01: Guwahati Arrival and Transfer to Shillong

    Welcome to the charming state of Assam. Upon your arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, a warm welcome awaits from our representative. Start your journey towards Shillong, known as the ‘Scotland of the East’. En route, you would love to see the grandeur of Umium Lake (Barapani), a pristine water body where you can indulge in various water sports at your own expense.

    On arrival at Shillong, check into your hotel. This evening, take the opportunity to browse through the Police Bazaar, the biggest traditional market in the region, full of colourfully vibrant stalls and local eateries. Retire for the night in the quiet comfort of your Shillong accommodation.

    Day 02: Explore Laitlum Canyons, Krang Suri Falls & Phe Phe Falls

    After breakfast, embark on a full-day adventure in Meghalaya. Start at Laitlum Canyons for stunning views of gorges and hills, perfect for photography. Next, visit Krang Suri Falls for a refreshing swim in its turquoise waters, followed by Phe Phe Falls, where you can walk behind the waterfall. Return to Shillong by evening for an overnight stay.

    Day 03: Shillong to Dawki to Mawlynnong Village to Cherrapunji

    After an early breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to Mawlynnong Village, often referred to as the ‘Cleanest Village in India’. The village is not only a symbol of community cleanliness but also a place that offers scenic beauty and unique natural phenomena, such as a boulder balancing on another rock.

    Visit Dawki, a town near the Indo-Bangladesh border; go for a serene boating experience on crystal-clear waters in the Umngot River; and complete the day’s journey by driving through to Cherrapunji, where you will spend the night.

    Day 04: Cherrapunji Sightseeing

    Come back for a dose of nature’s glee with so many breathtaking sightseeing places – start with an adventure at the Eco Park, see the Nohsngithiang Falls, which is also referred to as the Seven Sisters, and then make your way deeper into the secrets of Mawsmai Cave, Thangkharang Park, Dainthlen Falls, and marvel at the force of Nohkalikai Falls.

    Day 05: Cherrapunji to Shillong

    Day 06: Shillong to Guwahati

    After breakfast, check out of your hotel and begin your drive to Guwahati. Upon arrival, if time permits, embark on a spiritual and cultural exploration of the city. Start with the sacred Kamakhya Temple, a significant pilgrimage site, and continue to Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple, Sukreswar Temple, Navagraha Temple, and the Umananda Temple, uniquely located on Peacock Island—the world’s smallest inhabited river island.

    If time allows, also visit the Assam State Museum, Dighali Pukhuri Lake, the State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, the Planetarium, and browse local handicrafts at Assam State Emporiums. Later, check into your hotel in Guwahati for an overnight stay.

    Day 07: Departure from Guwahati

    After breakfast, check out of your hotel. Before you leave, visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, a major pilgrimage site open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. After this spiritual experience, you will be transferred to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
